This is a more advanced package which utilises a Content Management System.

This package is for a special application that modules from Joomla, Wordpress or Drupal cannot satisfy.

Rinet welcomes your job specifiction which contains as much detail as possible regarding the requirements. Rinet will then prepare and send you a detailed quote, obligation free.

Content Management Systems

CMS's make web site building quick and effective. My favourites are Joomla and Wordpress and I have used Drupal.

After setting up the CMS the enjoyable part is creating graphics and modifying the CSS (cascading style sheet) to make the site unique and to fit in with your business.

Your logo can easily be included in the site design, along with other graphics as desired.

This is important for getting your site in search engines and high up in the list so that users will go to you first rather than a competitor. Rinet IT uses the latest techniques to get your site up there!

Different CMS's handle search engines better than others. Wordpress is one of the best in this area.

Graphic Design

I have graphic design skills, using Fireworks and GIMP to produce effective images and graphics.

For larger graphic design tasks I prefer to employ professional graphic designers and photographers with whom I have a professional relationship with. Graphic design not done at Rinet is charged at cost to the client.

The web pages of the fading banner of my portfolio site were created using Fireworks.

Hosting and Domain Name Registration

Through excellent third parties Rinet IT provides domain name registration and hosting services.

There are two options for hosting. Small sites can be hosted under Rinet's account whereas larger sites will need their own hosting.

Javascript and jQuery

A recent addition to my skill-set Javascript provides immediate interactivity for the user. For PHP to change a page it must be reloaded which can be annoying for the end user. jQuery is a Javascript library with many functions which make web designs look and work better.

jQuery is particularly useful for building user friendly data entry forms.

PHP and MySQL

A large area of my expertise is PHP and MySQL. PHP is software which creates the web page before it is sent to the browser and web user. This makes it very secure as the end user cannot see the underlying code. It is used for implementing e-commerce as well as a whole lot more. Many large organisations use PHP including Facebook.

MySQL is an open source database system which works extremely well with PHP. It is fast and secure and has many features of the commercial database systems. Many internet hosts support it including Blue Host and Webcity.

I have experience building websites and applications using both of these technologies.
